Cue Files

The MiniDiscs were released as a single untracked recording per each disc. Therefore, it was necessary for fans to develop their own track listings and timestamps. The cue files provided here have been developed to be as accurate as possible by carefully locating the beginning of each track in the exact position where it would have been located on the original MiniDiscs, as well as locating any points where a track contains a cut or gap.

The MINIDISCS [HACKED] cue files are compatible with the official release from BandCamp. Select the audio format which matches your BandCamp downloaded files for most accurate results. The OK Minidisc cue files are compatible with the unofficial leaked MP3 release.

Note: These downloads contain only .cue files. Audio files are not included.

Using Cue Files

Cue files can be used to "see" multiple tracks within a single media file when it is loaded in a media player. First, download the set of cue files above that matches your audio files. Then, unzip and place the .cue files into the same folder as your audio files. Then, simply open the .cue file using your preferred media player.

Alternatively, cue files can be used to split a longer file apart into shorter individual tracks. If you wish to split the recordings into separate files per track, it is strongly recommended that you do so with a lossless format (WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC). If you wish to split apart the unofficial OK Minidisc release, I recommend using a tool such as pcutmp3 which will split the files without re-encoding and will also adjust track delay and padding data as necessary to maintain gapless playback from one file to the next..
